do you ever watch a studio ghibli movie and get so immersed in the world that u wish that you lived in it? well my love, this post will tell u exactly how to enter that world and romanticize ur life while taking on the studio ghibli aesthetic, also known as ghiblicore. this will be split into sections such as clothing, food, small habits, hobbies, playlist, etc...

hobbies
every girl needs some hobbies to spice up her life . here are some hobbies i suggest doing or picking up to feel like you are a studio ghibli character.
- reading (specifically in a backyard full of flowers with ur cat laying on ur stomach heheh)
- tidying ur room. i know it sounds boring but think about how you can make it fun! imagine ur arrietty, twirling around ur room in a red dress, cleaning up ur "own little garden."
- listening to music (while laying on a green hill if possible). the next section will be on a studio ghibli playlist i made that u can listen to
- exploring ur own city. take a stroll around ur beautiful city. u might even discover some mysteries hidden...
- biking. bike around while playing aesthetic music.
- baking or cooking aaaah u can make such aesthetic things!!! not only can u use the studio ghibli recipes i linked but u can also just bake some soft bread or cookies like kiki's bakery.

i constructed a little playlist for u that gave me studio ghibli vibes. i hope u like it!!! u can listen to it while doing any of the hobbies above, when u start ur day, during school or work, etc etc
of course, you can also just listen to studio ghibli's soundtrack on spotify~
habits
- if u can, take public transport to school and work
- whenever u see a field or grassy hill, run to it and lay in it and just chill and be happy!
- feed stray cats <3
- instead of using a washing machine and a dryer machine, hang ur clothes in the sun to dry on a clothesline
- DAYDREAM !!
- take a little afternoon nap in ur backyard or something
- spend time with urself, in silence
- draw or paint nature
- like the photo below says, do a bunch of little whimsy things (there will be examples )
- say goodnight to the moon at night / tell the moon ur problems
- tell ur dishes it's bath time when you wash them
- when you're peeling garlic, ask "may i take your coats?'
- carry a pouch of bird seeds with u and feed the birds throughout ur day
- draw hearts on ur face with moisturizer
- drink tea and eat berries
- make a wish on the butterflies or ladybugs that land on ur hand
- write handwritten letters
- every once and a while, skip and twirl around
- go to a cute cafe or the library to study
- lie under the sky and watch the clouds
- drawing a small spiral or a heart on your shower door anytime it gets foggy
- bird watch (use the merlin app)
room
the last necessary step is of course, ur bedroom! it can be anything you like but make sure to include some studio ghibli decor which could be posters, lamps, plushies, etc. if u want to know what sort of colors, i would say dark green and white are good to fit the aesthetic.
if you want to put up some posters, u can print them out using a special canon printer or just find some on pinterest and use google slides to print them out !
